Our Far-Flung Alumni: Preston Leete Smith (’52)

Preston Leete Smith graduated from Earlham in 1952, and settled in Connecticut.  Six years after graduating, Smith founded Killington, in Vermont, which would become the east’s largest ski resort.

Now he is being inducted into the Vermont Ski and Snowboard Hall of Fame.  In 2000 he was inducted into the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Hall of Fame.

He pursued a passion and accomplished great things.
