Assessment: Indiana Can Lead the Way

April 18, 2011

On Friday, I gave closing remarks at the H. Kent Weldon Annual Conference on Higher Education, sponsored by the Indiana Conference on Higher Education.

I took the occasion to note how much Hoosiers have contributed to assessment efforts over the past decade or two, highlighting especially the work of Trudy Banta (IUPUI), George Kuh and NSSE (IU), Charles Blaich (Wabash College Center for Inquiry in the Liberal Arts), and Jamie Merisotis (Lumina Foundation).

I also noted some challenges for the decade ahead.
